This was taken without a soul in sight in the tranquil and beautiful upper peninsula of Michigan. My happy place for sure.
This lighthouse was built in the early 1800’s and was functional up until the 1980’s. One family owned it that entire time, and the man who built it lived here until his death with his small family that consisted of him, his wife, and his 12 children.
